An increase of 11.97 per cent has been registered in net member addition during December 2023 compared to the previous month, a labour ministry statement said.

Minister Rameshwar Teli highlighted this as an indicator of job market formalization. Female unemployment dropped to 2.9%, improving from 4.2% in 2019-20, as per PLFS data.
