No information regarding the fire, including its size, cause or vital details, is yet available through Manitoba Conservation and Climate. It is the second time this month a portion of Highway 10 has been temporarily shut down due to a forest fire. Earlier in July, a fire burning near Highway 10 at Neso Lake caused a brief closure of Highway 10. Traffic was stopped for approximately 90 minutes as conservation officers, waterbombers and a Manitoba Conversation ground crew were brought in to stop the fire. No timetable on when the highway will be reopened has yet been given.
