Boston College's swimming and diving program was suspended when allegations surfaced that students were told to binge drink and consume their own vomit.
Boston College has suspended the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams while it investigates reports of hazing, allegations strongly disputed by athletes who have hired attorneys and demanded retractions of the accusations.
Lawyers representing more than 30 members of Boston College men’s and women’s swimming and diving sent a letter to BC’s general counsel on Thursday, calling on the University to lift the team’s suspension and issue a public retraction of the statement issued by BC Athletics on Wednesday.
