A fifth checkpoint will be added at the New South Wales border after more than 300 vehicles have been turned away from Queensland since border restrictions were reintroduced.
The limited access point on Nerang-Murwillumbah Road will operate from Saturday between 8am and 4pm Queensland time.
The electronic gates will be shut to vehicles, with the exception of emergency services, outside those hours.
