Agriculture and Fisheries Minister, Floyd Green, has lauded J Wray and Nephew Foundation (JWNF) on the dedication of a $35 million project to construct a mini agro-processing plant on the Sydney Pagon STEM Academy campus in Braes River, St Elizabeth.
Construction of the project, which is set to kick off in June, is scheduled to last for three months. This move by Appleton to invest $35 million into an agro-processing world-class plant is really game-changing for the people in the surrounding communities of Sydney Pagon (Academy) and it will also tie into the vision of the ministry to focus more on agro business, asserted Green.
