Camp. This video from yesterday. At least 18 people were killed including a google executive. Three other google employees survived. Aftershocks triggered more avalanches in the himalayas today. A climber at the mt. Everest base camp caught this one on video. There were several tents in the path of todays avalanche, but theres no word if anyone was inside those tents. The aftershocks have many people too scared to go back to their homes. Many people are now simply sleeping in the streets. Take a look at the scene here. You see the pitched tents as countries across the globe scrambling to send crews to help out with the search and relief in nepal. One of the biggest concerns right now is preventing the spread of disease with all of these people here together. Nepalese officials are concerned about a potential measles outbreak. Around 9 00 this morning that a boy had been stabbed. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. 18yearold William Schultz has been arrested for murder. They are still trying to determine the motive. We talked to the victims next door neighbor who was stunned. So sorry for the family. I knew the little boy. I lived here for seven years and i feel for the family. He said the 9yearold boy often played bubble in his backyard. The little boy was a very cheerful boy. He did not know William Schultz or the connect to the boy but others said that william reslintd got kicked out of his home and was living with the family. A lot of it is about trust after several well publicized killings of unarmed black man by Police Across the nation and the sfpd has had its own issues like the text message scandal revealing how racist some on the force were. We spoke with the police chief recently on our sunday morning show about accountability. Im not saying that were not going to have a longer conversation to explain every time we do use any level of force. But i think that were accountable. We welcome the criticism and well come out of this thing better than we were. Reporter in addition to protecting citizens from bad cops, the cameras can also protect officers from false accusations. Of course, those cameras have to be turned on in order to do so. That means the Police Commission has to come up with a new set of policies on how these cameras should be used from when they will be on to how the footage will be will be stored and who will be able to see it.
