The propellers of both engines of the Yeti Airlines aircraft that crashed in Nepal last month and killed 71 people, including five Indians, did not have power during its descent, according to a government-appointed panel.
The Yeti Airlines passenger plane carrying 72 people had crashed into a river gorge while landing at the recently-opened airport in Nepal s Pokhara on January 15, 2023.
Flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder of Yeti Airlines ATR-72 aircraft indicated a problem in the engine which led to the crash January 15 which resulted in the death of all 72 people on board.
After a preliminary probe into the crashlanding of Nepal's Yeti Airlines on January 15, results showed it occurred due to the failure of the propellers of both engines at the time of landing.
