Volunteers tackle litter issue at Nene Valley Railway

A group of volunteers joined together to help clear litter and fly-tipping from a railway track.
Rubbish had been gathering on the Nene Valley Railway tracks for a number of months, and keen to tackle the issue, more than 20 volunteers took part in a litter pick on Sunday (March 7).
The Wansford-based railway operates as a charity with the facilities and locomotives maintained by volunteers. With Covid-19 lockdown forcing Nene Valley Railway to close for a number of months, clearing the litter was a cost they could do without.
