A BAGGAGE handler has been found guilty of the murder of his lover – a British Airways host – who he killed in a “fit of rage” as he attempted to steal money to feed his drug habit. Jayesh Gobar, 36, of Crawley, West Sussex, was convicted by a jury at Hove Crown Court of the murder of 58-year-old Nelly Myers at her home in Rotherfield, near Crowborough, on December 17 2019. Judge Christine Laing QC adjourned the case for sentencing on Wednesday and told the defendant: “There is only one sentence I can pass and that is life imprisonment but I need the assistance of counsel before I can decide what the appropriate minimum term is.”
