PED chief Roman Chambaerlane Zuniga, in an interview on Wednesday, said the provincial government of Albay has allocated PHP6.5 million for educational assistance to indigent students in elementary, secondary and college levels, both from the public and private schools in the province. He said his office is targeting at least 3,250 program beneficiaries who would receive PHP2,000 each. Dr. Nataniel Rempillo, Albay Provincial Health Office (PHO) chief, said interested applicants can send their resumes and other credentials to the PHO or to government-run hospitals nearest to their residence. "We are very thankful to Governor Noel Rosal as one of his flagship programs is to improve health services not just the building but (also) the human resources, logistical services like medicine, supply and upgrade of equipment," he said in an interview on Friday.
