Thursday, school leaders officially opened a new, 57,331-square-foot residence hall at the Perkinston campus, which can house up to 206 students. Administrators said the $15 million project was funded by county district supervisors from Harrison, Stone, Jackson and George counties. As soon as the ribbon was cut, eager student began moving in. Resident Assistant Nejai Spencer was excited to move in after feeling stuck in her house due to COVID-19. She’s looking forward to enjoying time away from home and with her peers, instead.
