I’d like to add that media outlets like FOX News have stoked such division for 20-plus years. FOX News, as well as the many ultra-conservative talk-radio stations around the country, have supported the Republican Party by demonizing Democrats and de-legitimizing their party. Democratic Party. FOX News has been so successful that we now have the even more right-wing Newsmax and One America News Network.
These outlets have has minimized the severity of COVID-19 and undermined credibility of the November election. The night of the Jan. 6 pro-Trump riot, guests on their shows were still talking about election integrity rather than focusing on the coup.
