A Liverpool University archaeologist tried to arrange sex with a 13-year-old girl while her mum watched.
Jason Hall discussed how he wanted to molest the girl - and the 50-year-old even took a train to Chester to fulfil his twisted sexual fantasy.
But neither the woman nor her daughter were real and he was instead met by police waiting outside the station.
Officers searched his rucksack and found a pack of condoms and an Easter egg he bought for his intended victim.

A dad of three has been jailed for three years after he bit of a man’s ear in a late-night attack. Andrew James Sword got into a scuffle with James Laws in the Havana nightclub on Botchergate in Carlisle on January 31, 2019. Outlining the prosecution case at Carlisle Crown Court yesterday, Neil Bisarya said: “Mr Laws was in Havana bar on Botchergate and at around 3am he went to the toilet to use the facilities with his friend. The defendant entered the toilet and asked if they could sort out any beak. Mr Laws believed he meant cocaine. He told him no and he did not use drugs.”
Man jailed for biting off part of peacemakerâs ear in Carlisle bar
Andrew Sword
A man who attacked a Carlisle city centre pub peacemaker, biting off part of his ear âlike an animalâ, has been jailed for three years.
James Laws had stepped in to prevent further trouble as drunken Andrew Sword turned aggressive and punched another patron as the three were inside a toilet at Botchergateâs Havana bar just after 3am on January 31, 2019.
During a scuffle, Mr Laws took hold of Sword to remove him from the venue but the 33-year-old grabbed and pulled him backwards into the ladiesâ toilet where he âbit down hardâ on Mr Lawsâ ear, Carlisle Crown Court was told today.
