American Craft Beer Week kicked off Monday and extends through Sunday. Ale enthusiasts and lovers of lager are spoiled here on the Isthmus, with 25 craft breweries in or near Madison. Crack open a cold one from any of these breweries. This cutting edge brewery has a knack for naming their regular and seasonal brews, some favorites being the Apocalypse Bingo: Murder Hornet Pale Ale, Karen’s Rage and the Vax On, Vax Off Mosaic Pale Ale. Carryout and curbside options are available, and you also can find Ale Asylum at many Madison grocers.

Montgomery to offer gift cards at neighborhood vaccination clinics

View Comments Montgomery will offer 100 $50 gift cards each at four neighborhood COVID-19 vaccination clinics in an attempt to combat the declining vaccination numbers in Alabama.  The clinics will provide free vaccinations and will not require an appointment, insurance or identification.  “Our goal has always been to protect the lives and livelihoods of everyone in Montgomery,” Mayor Steven Reed said in a statement. “The COVID-19 vaccines are our best chance to do so. We are proud to work alongside partners like Walmart, Montgomery Housing Authority, Partners In Health, Nehemiah Center and Metropolitan United Methodist Church to bring these life-saving vaccines directly to our communities.”
