Final year results of major Undergraduate (UG) programmes of the University of Mumbai (MU) maybe delayed if MU staff are continued to be disallowed from commuting by suburban train services, said MU on Thursday. Over 1.55 lakh students have appeared for the final year last semester examinations of arts, commerce and science UG programmes via online mode completed by 450 affiliated degree colleges by May 25.
Vinod Patil, director of Board of Examination and Evaluation of MU, told the Free Press Journal (FPJ), Our staff involved in the examination department are not allowed currently to commute by local train services, as per the lockdown restrictions imposed by the Maharashtra state government. This is causing delay in the process of formulation of results of final year students.

The University of Mumbai (MU) allowed degree colleges to postpone final year last semester online examinations scheduled on Monday due to power cuts and lack of internet service after cyclone Tauktae hit normal in city.
Some degree colleges conducted the final year last semester examinations via online on Monday, while others deferred it to a later date.
Students appearing for final year last semester examinations of Undergraduate (UG) degree programmes through online faced power cuts for over seven hours.

Mumbai: Degree colleges launch war rooms and enhance proctoring software for final-year last semester online examinations
Degree colleges under the University of Mumbai (MU) have started preparations to conduct the final-year last semester theory examinations of all undergraduate (UG) programmes online. Colleges said they have enhanced the online proctoring softwares and improvised the online examination system. Neha Jagtiani, in-charge principal of RD National College, Bandra said, We have launched a war room, where professors will be available online one hour before till one hour after the examination. If students face technical issues while trying to log in or internet issues, they can contact the professors directly via the helpline. The professors will then contact the technical service providers to resolve the issue.
