In 2019, he took up the task in middle school after searching for a community service project. He logged onto the city’s website and found the Adopt-A-Spot program, where residents can volunteer to clean up and beautify their neighborhoods. Louis is not alone. He found help from his sister Nichole, 17; mother Emily, 50; and father Nicholas, 52. They all go out twice a month to collect trash from the brush line of a three-mile stretch near Brandeis High School, where Louis is a freshman.
