NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Neenah Common Council is set to debate a proposal to whether a new city-wide mask mandate should be issued.
The debate comes after Neenah Mayor Dean Kaufert issued an advisory on Monday urging the community to wear face coverings, citing an increase in COVID-19 cases.
Mayor Kaufert says the Common Council debate is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday night.
The mayor says anyone that would like to attend can go to the city’s website and see the information to attend either in-person or virtual.
“If we continue to embrace these reasonable measures in a consistent manner, in conjunction with vaccination, we can help get the COVID-19 under control, ultimately stopping the spread.,” said Mayor Kaufert in a release.
