A leading energy company, Shell, Thursday, inaugurated a multi-billion-naira Rivers Cassava Processing Company Limited built in partnership with the Rivers State Government, Vieux Manioc BV of the Netherlands, and the Embassy of The Netherlands in Nigeria.
Till now, crude oil pollution is a common challenge in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Several studies have shown how use of biological remediation can help to detoxify and restore ecosystems damaged by crude oil spillage.
