On Sunday, May 28, the 36 members of Church Farm School’s Class of 2023 bade farewell to each other, the underclassmen, faculty and staff, coaches, board members and other friends of the school who shared in jubilant Baccalaureate and Commencement services in their honor. The Class of 2023 persisted through three years of disruptions due to Covid, including one year where some were fully remote. This year, with a return to normalcy, the seniors endeavored to create engaging activities for themselves and their younger “brothers” such as new Maroon vs. Grey competitions and enthusiastically leading twice-weekly assemblies where they consistently showcased student success in the classroom, in student life and on the athletic fields.
Church Farm School welcomed back more than 100 alumni from the 1960s through 2020s, and every decade in between, for its annual Alumni Weekend May 12-14. Highlights from the weekend included a Career Conversations event, where current students were able to rotate by grade-level between four different panels – STEM, Business, Education & Activism and Creatives – to learn about how 20 of our alumni transitioned from Church Farm School to college to their varied careers as musicians, filmmakers, actors, nurses, attorneys, educators, engineering and more.
