Kitimat RCMP are investigating two incidents of Robbery with Weapon that occurred on May 12.
The first incident occurred at 5:45 a.m. at Tony’s Corners Store located at 101 Nechako Centre. A male entered the store dressed in black and produced a knife and demanded money. The male was not located.
The second incident occurred at 3:30 p.m. at Wee Geordies Liquor Store at 178 Nechako Centre. A female entered the store and grabbed a bottle of liquor, then produced a knife demanding cash. The female suspect was also not located.
RCMP are continuing to investigate and do believe that the two incidents are related. Witnesses that were in the area at the time of the incidents are asked to contact Kitimat RCMP.
