The court was hearing cross appeals filed by a man and his wife against the family court order granting them joint custody of their two minor daughters aged 12 and 10 years.
The protest was a counter to the AAP's demonstration outside the BJP's headquarters against the alleged manipulation by the saffron party to win the Chandigarh mayoral polls on Tuesday.
In her plea, the woman submitted she was in a consensual relationship and had come to know of her pregnancy only recently. Advocate Amit Mishra, representing the woman, said she learnt about it on January 25 when she was already 27 weeks pregnant.
Police said a complaint was lodged by an official from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) after videos of the incident went viral on social media.
