Catanduanes cancels S-PaSS requirement for travelers

The Incident Management Team (IMT)-Catanduanes confirmed on Thursday that the S-PaSS is no longer part of travel requirements for inbound passengers. "Under the latest Executive Order (EO) No. 04, series of 2022, issued by Governor Joseph Cua, intrazonal and interzonal travels to Catanduanes are now allowed and S-PaSS is no longer required to all travelers," an IMT advisory on the EO posted on social media read. (File photo) LAOAG CITY - The provincial government of Ilocos Sur has suspended the rule requiring the use of the Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage (S-PaSS), a travel management system for easier contact tracing purposes, for travelers. Dr. Trina Tabboga-Talaga, medical chief of the Ilocos Sur Provincial Hospital-Gabriela Silang, confirmed this on Monday as part of simplifying and easing travel protocols for fully vaccinated individuals. "Effective today, wala po munang S-PaSS and Ilocos Sur. Kailangan lang po vax card and ID. Dapat po fully vaxxed tayo. Salamat (Effective today, there shall be no S-PaSS in Ilocos Sur.
