A group of nine European states have pledged to deliver more arms to Ukraine in its war with Russia, saying they would send main battle tanks, heavy artillery, air defence, ammunition and infantry fighting vehicles. The countries that issued the statement from Estonia, calling it the Tallinn Pledge, said they would urge other allies to contribute to the package at a meeting in Ramstein, Germany.

COTABATO CITY - Not a single coronavirus virus disease (Covid-19) case was recorded in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) since June 1, the regional health office said Wednesday. In a report, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said the most recent Covid-19 cases in the region were monitored between May 20 to 23. One case each was logged on May 20, 24, 29, and 30, mostly in Maguindanao, MOH-BARMM said. For several days since May 16, the provinces of Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi logged zero new cases and no active cases, the agency added. Saida Diocolano-Ali, head of the MOH-BARMM health education promotion and communication unit, said only one death due to Covid-19 was reported since May 17 in the region. Ali said this was an "unprecedented achievement" considering that the vaccination rate in the region remains low. She attributed the improvement to the massive vaccination days strategy applied by MOH-BARMM and the support provided by the United Nations Chi
