Contractors hired by the N.C. Department of Transportation had asked him if they could walk through part of his property in rural Pittsboro. He agreed to a stroll. He did not agree to what happened next.Â

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) -More than 75 trucks have been out all over Mecklenburg County to handle the all day brining affair.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) want to get these roads treated as early and quickly as possible. I-77 is one of the major highways the North Carolina Department of Transportation is hitting in Mecklenburg County. The other highway DOT focused on is I-85.

Most of the Piedmont is under a Winter Storm Warning until 7 a.m. Friday. Freezing rain and sleet will create slick travel conditions Thursday. Emergency officials say downed trees and power lines are also a concern.
Jimmy Taeger, a meteorologist with The National Weather Service in Raleigh, says the system will bring what’s called cold air damming into the region. It’s when a layer of cold air gets trapped. He says that will impact how much ice the area sees.

RALEIGH (WTVD) The past two weeks have been restless for Raleigh resident Sandra Taylor, she says construction has been keeping both her and her husband up during the night. For the past two weeks it s like a large jackhammer, like a massive jackhammer, sort of like blasting, in a way, but it s so extremely loud and it also kind of rattles the house a little bit as well, because it s so loud, Taylor said.
She said it usually starts around midnight and can go until 4 am. We work so to have to go to work the next day, it s irritating and it s just not fair, Taylor said.
