PIETERMARITZBURG - Embattled African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general Ace Magashule has gone against rules set out by the party for his suspension.
He addressed party members outside the Pietermaritzburg High Court who gathered in support of former President Jacob Zuma.
Zuma was appearing in connection with his corruption trial over the 1999 arms procurement deal.

JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) said that it would oppose its secretary-general Ace Magashule’s bid to have his temporary suspension lifted.
The party has announced the decision following a meeting of its top officials.

Eyewitness News that he remained active in his role. I have appealed and therefore I will still be active in the African National Congress, that s what our branches, our regions and provinces and the general public of South Africa must understand, Magashule said.
