The plenary session of the European Parliament voted on Monday (26 April) to waive the immunity of Lagos and the official results will be announced today in the morning.
TVXS published a picture showing Lagos taking a vaccine in the COVID Test Center of the European Parliament. He reportedly declared that he needed the vaccine in order to travel to Norway on Wednesday (28 April).
Lagos denied in a tweet that he is planning to travel to Norway, however, he did not specify why he had submitted a formal application before undergoing a test stating the date and destination of his flight, in order to be indicated in the relevant certificate together with the passport number.

EU lawmakers have voted to lift the immunity of Greek MEP Ioannis Lagos, a former leader of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party sentenced to jail in his homeland, the European Parliament says.
Legislators overwhelmingly approve the move, with 658 backing it and only 25 opposed in a secret ballot held yesterday.
A police source in Athens tells AFP that Greek judicial authorities have issued an international arrest warrant for the 48-year-old.

In a Twitter post, Lagos voiced disdain for the decision and said he would remain “strong and free.”

Greek neo-Nazi lawmaker Ioannis Lagos will keep receiving his MEP salary until the Greek state terminates his mandate, despite his arrest in Belgium on Tuesday (27 April). It is not for the [European] Parliament to strip him of his salary, a European Parliament spokesperson told EUobserver. She noted it depends on Greek national laws.

Greek MEP Ioannis Lagos, a former member of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party, was arrested on Tuesday April 27 in the Belgian capital.
“I am in a police vehicle, thieves, atheists, anti-Hellenes are going to imprison me”, the elected official tweeted on Tuesday. According to a Greek police source, the arrest took place after the European Parliament lifted its parliamentary immunity.
