The flyover aims to facilitate a smooth flow of traffic for vehicles on ORR, reducing congestion and waiting times significantly on the Kanakapura Road side. Notably, this flyover will also integrate with a Metro line. While the Metro piers stand at a height of 13.5 metres, the proposed flyover will be at a height of 5.5 metres from the ground level.

Project report for 1.2-km-long
flyover on ORR-Kanakapura Road Junction awaits government nod
South Bengaluru is set to get its longest flyover extending to up to 1.2 km on Kanakapura Road. The proposed flyover will be constructed at the Outer Ring Road-Kanakapura Road junction near Sarakki. The flyover is expected to provide easy passage for vehicles that are getting stuck on
ORR and reduce the waiting time at Kanakapura Road.
One thing to look out for is that this flyover will come under a Metro line. While the Metro piers are at a height of 13.5 metres, the proposed flyover will come at a height of 5.5 metres from the ground level. BBMP sources said that the four-laned flyover will begin from the Ilyas Nagar junction and will be 17-metre-wide.
