Two Mandalay Journalists Seized by Myanmar Junta Forces Ko Nay Myo Lin (left) and Ko Shine Aung (right) 7.1k By The Irrawaddy 30 April 2021 Two journalists from the Mandalay-based news agency, the Voice of Myanmar, were detained by the military regime on April 27, bringing the numbers of detained journalists to 43. Editor in chief Ko Nay Myo Linn and reporter Ko Shine Aung were seized by junta forces and taken to the army camp at Mandalay’s palace, according to a relative. Relatives have not been able to contact the detainees. Ko Nay Myo Linn’s wife Ma Zarni Mann said: “I have learned they are in good health. They are still under interrogation.”
