Saudi envoy for highlighting Pakistan’s potential
Says Riyadh is keen to deepen commercial, investment cooperation with Islamabad

Pakistan has a lot of potential for economic growth and it should be highlighted effectively to attract foreign investors, said Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al Malkiy.
In a meeting with officials from the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Thursday, he said that Saudi Arabia wanted to see Pakistan turn into a growing economy.
“Saudi Arabia is interested to deepen commercial and investment cooperation with Pakistan,” he said, adding, “There is a need to focus on projecting positive things about Pakistan to highlight its true potential.”

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed the resolve to further strengthen bilateral socioeconomic, commercial, cultural and diplomatic relations.
The understanding came during a meeting between Minister for Economic Affairs Omar Ayub Khan and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al Malkiy in Islamabad today (Wednesday).
During the meeting, the two sides discussed in detail the level of ongoing bilateral economic cooperation and agreed to further enhance the existing level of cooperation to mutual benefit of the two countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Saudi Ambassador said his country is ready to play a stronger role in the economic development of Pakistan.

Saudi Arabia wants to further deepen and strengthen trade ties with Pakistan as both countries have great scope to promote trade in many areas, said Saudi Arabian Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Malkiy.
Talking to the business community during his visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), he said that Saudi Arabia intended to further expand its commercial and investment cooperation with Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan had a lot of potential for economic growth, which should be highlighted more effectively to attract foreign investors. He urged the media to focus on projecting positive developments in Pakistan to change the wrong perception about the country.
