Identified tonight as aaron alexix, a 34yearold naval reservist and naval contract torment more than a dozen others were wounded, including a washington, d. C. Police officer. Hundreds of police, federal agents, emergency medical responders were here. We got a look at the guy. As we were going out the dark he turned and he started shooting. We immediately made a left to go down out of the building. The horror for him was not over at that point. Were learning more about his past and about a history of Mental Illness that includes hearing voices. The investigation into mondays deadly shooting on a navy base continued through the night. One question that remains unanswered is why. We dont know what the motive is at this stage. Police say 34yearold aaron alexis opened fire inside a building on washingtons navy yard.
