The state Department of Health declared the water is safe to drink in three more neighborhoods on the Navy's water distribution system around Pearl Harbor.
The U.S. Navy said it detected high levels of petroleum in the tap water of a Halsey Terrace home as it tries to prepare Pearl Harbor military housing for the return of families who evacuated when jet fuel poisoned their water.
The state Department of Health says tap water in the Pearl City Peninsula housing area is now safe to drink after a fuel leak at the Red Hill fuel storage facility contaminated the water system in November.
