DERBY (AP) A Connecticut health inspector was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault after being accused of groping a waitress at restaurant in Shelton.
The inspector was arraigned Friday in Derby Superior Court. He did not enter a plea to the sexual assault charge or a charge of disorderly conduct.
Hearst Connecticut Media reports that the inspector, who is from Derby, agreed to abide by a protective order and stay away from the restaurant.
It was not immediately clear when the assault took place. The man was placed on administrative leave by the Naugatuck Health District on June 3.
