i wanted to do a few minutes on how your father invented the iowa caucus. and i wanted to hear all the bedtime stories he told you about going out to iowa in 1972 for george mcgovern, the first time any presidential candidate played attention to the iowa caucuses, and winning it and how he created political history with everyone wanted to follow in karl wagner s footsteps, managing a winning presidential the monster he helped create, in other words.
