A Swechchhasebak League leader was sued in a case filed for physically assaulting an executive engineer of Natore Water Development Board.
Injured Abu Raihan was admitted to Natore Sadar Hospital, reports our local correspondent.
Accused Nafiul Islam Antar is general secretary of Swechchhasebak League s Natore municipality unit. He is also nephew of local MP Shafiqul Islam Shimul.
According to police, Antar and his father Mir Amirul Islam Jahan, a contractor who works for the WDB and also the treasurer of Natore district Awami League, locked into an altercation with the executive engineer when he questioned the quality of the construction work.
