DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) - Decatur is celebrating its bicentennial birthday and National Youth Art Month all at the same time!
The Designing Decatur Activity Booklet is a coloring book published by the City of Decatur’s Historic Preservation Commission. The book highlights 20 of the City’s unique architectural icons.
Step into the town’s well-known spots with this cool coloring book and then enter you own design into the iHeartDecatur Art Contest!
MacRostie Art Center is pleased to announce its March 2021 exhibitions. The MacRostie Gallery will feature sculptures by artist Jesse Dermody in his exhibit âStrange Forms.â The Minnesota Gallery will showcase works by students at Robert J. Elkington Middle School in âExploring Archetypes.â The public is invited to experience the new exhibitions opening March 5 either through the MACâs website or in person at MacRostie Art Center in downtown Grand Rapids during the MACâs regular business hours. March exhibits at MacRostie Art Center are sponsored by Anderson Family Dental.Â

Jesse Dermody is a poet, musician, and sculptor living in the woods of northern Minnesota. His exhibit âStrange Formsâ will display a collection of his large, dynamic sculptures created from driftwood, roots, barn boards, stones, animal bones, and other found objects that he collects on his daily hikes near his home north of Duluth, MN
Young artists from Fayette and Westmoreland counties will be featured in an exhibit at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Ligonier from Feb. 12 through April 18.
