BEIJING, April 1 (Xinhua) China s recent improvement to Hong Kong s electoral system serves as a guardrail for the implementation of the one country, two systems policy, observers from various countries have said.
In a bid to ensure that Hong Kong is administered by the patriots, China s top legislature on Tuesday unanimously passed two amended annexes to the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) which concern the method for the selection of the HKSAR chief executive and the method for the formation of the HKSAR Legislative Council and its voting procedures, respectively.

From 10 to 11 March 2021 a virtual Steering Committee meeting of the Research Project “Adapting and Scaling Teacher Professional Development Approaches in Uzbekistan” will be held in Tashkent. The event is organized by the UNESCO Tashkent Office jointly with the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Institute of Retraining and Advanced Training of Public Education Personnel named after A. Avloniy and the National University of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
The aim of the event is to review the progress and state of the implementation process of the project with national stakeholders and realign project outcomes with the latest developments of the country in ensuring the quality of teachers.
