Herefordshire CBA celebrate identity HEREFORDSHIRE County Bowling association celebrate their 75th Anniversary this year and are having a busy time playing many invitation matches, including one against the English Bowling Association. Herefordshire CBA was formed on May 10, 1928, at a meeting in Hereford Bowling Club of seven clubs, Hereford, St Martin s, Ross-on-Wye, Leominster, Castle Green, Kington and Ledbury. There was an addition to their number in the following year when Eastnor became affiliated. There are now 18 clubs affiliated, with the addition of Bodenham, Brimfield & Little Hereford, Bromyard, Bulmers, Eardisland, Kingsland, Wellington, Weobley, Wiggin and St Michael, of Shrewsbury. St Michael requested affiliation as crown green bowls is dominant in their area and they prefer to play flat green.
