Involved shooting in san jose this year all dealing with mentally ill suspect. The suspect today was armed with an ax. Police encountered that man just after 12 30. Thats where we find our anchor tonight to tell us the suspect had trouble past. Reporter police are not identifying the suspect, they did say he had a rap sheet that included violence, weapons, and drug charges. There is still a lot of work to be done. Last year over 52,000 americans died of a dress overdose, 52,000. 33,000 of them were opiod related deaths. Thats hundreds of people on any given day that are dying. This week is just beginning and we lost people already.
