Now, these bones were discovered at an apartment at mccallister and steiner street. Abc 7 News Reporter vic lee has the latest. Reporter Natasha Kosak lives in this old victorian apartment on mccallister street. This is where her neighbor, who lives across the hall, found the bones. In a planter box on the ledge next to the front door. The piece that i saw was a section, what looked like a jawbone, and the teeth definitely seemed similar to the molears. Reporter police were notified. They too thought it was a human bone and that there may be more. Word quickly spread to other neighbors. That seems very strange and very odd. What kind of bones . In early december when a gas leak was discovered at the school. School was closed for a day back on december 3 so space heaters could be brought in. You have kids focused and shivering. You put a small heater in there, what will that do . They need to come up with some better ways to fix situations. Reporter we got a look inside of some of the classrooms. Some of those heaters just are not working all that well. Police say woods had just stabbed someone on a bus. He refused to drop his knife then approached an officer. Thats when five officers fired rounds, killing woods. Today the mayor agreed the video was disturbing and he says hes directed the chief to take specific immediate steps to ensure Police Officers have more options to deal with situations with a minimum use of force.
