The camaraderie between Police Officers not only in this city but from across this country, from canada. It was an incredible, remarkable sight. These pictures give you a sense of the spectacular turnout. More than 25,000 Police Officers were there, as i said, from across this country, obviously most of them couldnt even fit inside that church, so they filled the streets of queens. Police commissioner bill bratton and Vice President joe biden were among those that spoke this morning. Listen. Im sure i speak for the whole nation when i say to you that our hearts ache for you. I know from personal experience that there is little anyone can say or do at this moment to ease the pain, that sense of loss, that sense of loneliness. But i do hope you take some solace in the fact that as reported by the press, over 25,000, 25,000 members of the same fraternity and sorority as your husband who stand and will stand with you the rest of your life and they will its an uncommon fraternity. Tonight, folks. Thanks for watching. When president obama comes out to speak in boise, idaho, well bring you his remarks here live on the ed show, but first i want to talk about keystone. Its clear to me that some senators, and i dont mean to be derogatory here but they are clueless. They are clueless because they hear something and they think that must be the way it is. Only one senator has gone to nebraska to get the facts. Anyway, the keystone xl pipeline, ill explain to you again tonight, it is not going to be built for a few years. I warned you last night about senator joni ernst. She delivered just barrels of lies on the keystone xl pipeline. Were working hard to pass the kind of serious job creation ideas you deserve. One you have probably heard about is the keystone jobs bill. President obama has been delaying this bipartisan Infrastructure Project for years, even though many members of his party, unions and a Strong Majority of americans support it. The president s own state d
This country have made it the focal point of every election that they are the fighters for the middle class. That you can count on them to be there when it comes to the middle class. For the most part, i will say yes to that. What did this president do . This is a story tonight that hasnt gotten much focus. We have a budget deal. Nobody will shut down the government. Thats good. On tuesday, the president of the United States signed the new 1. 1 trillion spending bill into law and tonight im going to tell you why this bill is a failure for what everybodys advocating for, the middle class. Retired americans are taking it in the shorts. Until tuesday it was legal for employers to cut pensions. Benefits for those already retired. They couldnt do it. They could not do it. Now under the law people covered under multiemployer Pension Plans can see reduced benefits if their plans are in bad financial shape. Now what does that mean bad, financial shape. How bad . Show me some numbers, show me a
Has the power to propel themselves forward and upward. This really isnt understood in washington d. C. You can see why. It is a company town. Its all they know. They have been recklessly degrading the value of work the incentive to work and the rewards of work. We have seen them cut the definition of a fulltime job from 40 hours to 30 hours. Government does not degrade the value and incentive to work. The safety net does not trap people. Its there for the worst case scenarios, and its been there for decades. Bush is wrong on all fronts. After bushs brother wrecked the economy, the government was responsible for the recovery. Its been six years since president obama signed the american recovery and reinvestment act into law. Its also known as the stimulus package. Oh, yeah. I remember that. Since early 2010 58 straight months of private sector job growth. What do you think republicans would be saying if that was on their watch . Were talking 11 million jobs have been created. Wheres the
This morning because they couldnt wait for opening day. Cranking up the crazy from the middle of the country. Good to have you with us tonight, folks. We start with the iowa summit. There will be a number of 2016 president ial hopefuls over the weekend. Dont leave out ben carson. Theyre all going to be there. Steve king is no stranger to controversy. This comment a few years back caused major headaches for the republican party. There are kids that were brought into this country by their parents unknowing that they were breaking the law. They will say to me and others who defend the rule of law we have to do something about the 11 million. Some of them are valedictorians. Their parents brought them in. It wasnt their fault. Its true in some cases. Theyre not all valedictorians. For every one that is a valedictorian, theres another one out there. They have calves the size of cantaloupes because theyre bringing marijuana across the desert. He continues to use disturb disturbing rhetoric w
