National Space Science Authority (NSSA) Chief Executive Officer Dr Mohamed Ebrahim Al Aseeri took part in the Global Technology Governance Summit in Japan where he gained vast knowledge about the technology-driven future.
The summit brought together 2,000 global stakeholders from 125 countries representing 50 governments and more than 600 company leaders from across the world to discuss topics on new technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), global technology governance, industry transformation, government transformation, and frontier technologies.

The engineers and technicians of the National Space Science Authority (NSSA) have published more than 10 scientific papers last year.
Work is underway to publish 20 scientific papers this year in international refereed journals and international conferences specialised in the field of building satellites and their applications, in addition to participating in conferences specialised in artificial intelligence applications in the field of space science, data analysis and space images.
Dr Mohammed Ibrahim Al Asiri, CEO of the NSSA, said that this amount of research has resulted in cooperation with various parties in the framework of internal and external cooperation agreements.

Two members of the Bahrain Space Team of the National Space Science Authority (NSSA) have participated in the construction and designing of the Emirati mini-satellite “DhabiSat”, which was launched on February 20, from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, US and arrived at the International Space Station (ISS).
The launch marked another milestone in the UAE’s space journey.
Less than two weeks ago, the Emirates made history when its Hope probe successfully entered the orbit of Mars to begin a two-year data-collecting mission. The miniature satellite DhabiSat is the second CubeSat designed and developed by students from Khalifa University of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi with the support of the Yahsat Satellite Communications Company, “Yahsat” and Northrop Grumman International.

Bahrain took part in the United Nations’ celebrations of the International Day of Education yesterday by highlighting its achievements in providing quality education for all.
The world marks the occasion on 24th January of each year.
