Getting donations to provide oxygen to those lacking it because of Covid-19 is Respira Peru s main objective.
This campaign began thanks to the combined efforts of the Peruvian Episcopal Conference, the University of St. Ignatius of Loyola and the National Society of Industries.

“We received donations from very important companies in Peru s financial sector. Using these resources and a telethon we organized with a Peruvian TV channel, we raised around 8 or 9 million soles to purchase oxygenation centers and concentrators.”
They say Peru currently produces a mere 20 percent of what people with Covid-19 need.

19:04 | Lima, Dec. 28. In order to protect the members of the National Police of Peru (PNP), Laboratorios Hersil and the National Society of Industries (SNI) participated in the donation of 25,000 masks and 1,000 units of alcohol-based hand sanitizer for the protection of the personnel.
The donation came within the framework of the Campaign to Support the National Police in the Fight against COVID-19 and took place on December 23 at the State Security Directorate headquarters in Lima s Rimac district.
During the ceremony, Laboratorios Hersil CEO Jose Luis Silva expressed support for the dedicated work carried out day after day by police members and thanked their efforts to protect and help the community.
