Thanks for putting a human face to all of this, yes I read the article on his drowning. I was praying about the sixth day that sea would give up his body. So finding his body for me was an answer to prayer. I am truly happy at this end so that his grieving family can get closure. Six days is a long time….
The sad reality is that the sea is tumultuous at certain times of the month and rip tides abound strong swimmer or not. Especially in some beach areas where holes can be found (Mayaro beach comes to mind). I practice self preservation when it comes to the sea. I was at Las Cuevas when a wave emerged out of nowhere and took me up and slammed my head into the sand busting it.
