Jean Mannesto is a jack of all trades as she works with oil, watercolor, pastel paintings, stained glass, jewelry making and more to create art.
“Brain research indicates that the separation of right-left hemispheres show a proclivity or strength to either an artistic-creative right side or a logical-verbal left side,” said Mannesto. “In the right-brained person, creativity just comes. It’s part of the artists thinking and being.”
Mannesto also invests her time as a writer, a poet, a naturalist and a traveler. She has been passionate about art and art history and since her youth. She recalled her kindergarten teacher telling her mother that she used perspective in class drawings. Mannesto still has an embroidery of a castle that she made when she was a child.
