I do not know what the arrangements are in Achimota school today. But when I was a student there in the 1970s, Muslim students were allowed to fast if they chose to do so.
There was a small, spare dormitory, nicknamed Katanga, where fasting Muslim students moved into during Ramadan. This was to prevent temptation from the sinfully mouth-watering gari-soakings of the likes of Allen “Billy Bunter” Aryee, and Sunday afternoon treats from David “Abimus” Adabie’s father, a Continental Hotel executive chef whose cooking I can swear we could’ve smelled even if we’d had covid.
Staying at Katanga also ensured that fasting Muslim students didn’t disturb others because they woke up earlier than usual to pray and get ready for dawn breakfast. Muslim girls had their own Ramadan-time accommodation as well.

As of December 20th, there were five (5) persons who tested positive for COVID-19; however there was a recovery rate of twenty- five (25) persons; bringing the total active cases to one hundred and eighteen (118). The total number of confirmed cases is now one thousand three hundred and twenty- eight (1328).
The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are monitoring one hundred and eleven (111) people in home isolation. Seven (7) patients are hospitalized at the St. Maarten Medical Center. The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at twenty- six (26).
The number of people recovered since the first case surfaced on St. Maarten has increased to one thousand one hundred and eighty- four (1184). Two hundred and fifty- five (255) people remains in quarantine based on contact tracing investigations carried out by CPS of persons who may have been in contact with any of the active cases.

The Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labor (VSA), Richard Panneflek hereby informs the public that the Council of Ministers has agreed to celebrate the National Public Holiday known as Carnival Day, which was on Thursday, April 30th 2020 on Monday, December 28th 2020.
Minister Panneflek wishes all a safe and Happy Holidays. He understands that the holidays are a time of togetherness but urges all to wear a mask, stay indoors and take COVID seriously.
