First, our main story there were nearly 43,000 hospital operations to remove teeth in children and teenagers in england last year, equating to 170 a day. The British Dental Association says england provides a second Class Service compared to scotland and wales, and has accused government ministers of adopting a short sighted approach to a growing crisis around tooth decay. 0ur Health Correspondent Dominic Hughes reports. Tooth decay in children is distressing, painful and avoidable. Dentists say sugary snacks and drinks are the biggest cause.
