A third of the picturesque Peak District is made up of the Staffordshire Moorlands - and as lockdown restrictions begin to ease, people have been taking the opportunity to socialise outdoors with friends and family.
As of April 12, people were able to meet up in a group of six, or any amount of people from two households.
Inspector Steve Breen PEOPLE are being urged to stay at home and to exercise locally during the current national coronavirus lockdown. Craven District Council, Richmondshire District Council, the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and North Yorkshire Police are reminding people that everyone needs to play their part to reduce the spread of the new, highly infectious strain of the virus. The advice is that residents should not travel out of their village or town unless absolutely necessary, to help restrict the spread of the deadly virus. Craven Inspector Steve Breen said: “North Yorkshire Police have adjusted their patrol plans to increase their presence and visibility, to provide reassurance to our communities.
