Since the inception, the Whistleblower Program has been plagued by minor complaints. The 20102011 civil grand jury found that 36 were true whistleblower complaints alleging fraud, waste, and abuse. Then the Whistleblower Program developed a Risk Assessment policy that was designed to triage the complaints and sort them out into low, medium, or high risk complaints. For example, the medium risk cases involved potential losses of 10,000 to 50,000 or they implicate a mid level manager. The medium and high risk cases are not represented in the whistleblower reports. Instead, we get a preponder remembers of cases of low level employees who use Work Computers for personal business, who leave work early, or show up late, who gamble or sleep on the job, or who smoke in city cars and park them inappropriately. Trying to find, they can know that the information [bell ringing] theyre getting is accurate and that this coordination among the agencies, and that you know, its current and it needs to so youre not just running from place to place and finding out youre just too late. And so i mean i dont know how long its going to take me to find housing. I mean, im on waiting lists, but you know, its getting harder because its getting more expensive to live here. And if youre a senior, disabled and lowincome, youre being forced out or into areas where its not necessarily safe all the time. And so there needs to be better coordination among the agencies. Currently the department has annual reports up through 1718 Available Online with various statistics of department review. Somebody mentioned that some of them were longer when they were first posted and they became more truncated later, can you speak to that . The department did previously with the review back in 1112, the way the department previously did their annual reports where they were much more extensive, but they also took approximately 1824 months to complete. If you look back in history at the departments annual report, technically included data for 1112. It was much longer. So we are looking out for version we are doing now is to find more of a sweet spot in between that has a series of grass and basic data and information and additional narrative and something that is complete within six months of the fiscal year.
