PROVO, Utah Junior opposite hitter Kupono Browne was named Off the Block's National Opposite of the Week after leading the Cougars in their two wins against No. 11 USC with 38 kills.
Browne finished with a match-high and season-high 22 kills on a .395 clip in a four-set victory against the Trojans on Thursday. He also had a team-high four aces and 16 kills on a .314 attack percentage in another four-set win against USC on Friday. Browne's 22 kills from Thursday's match are the most by any BYU hitter in 2023.
