COLOMBO (News 1st): It is the responsibility of every citizen to ensure that you do NOT contract the virus, emphasized Army Commander General Shavendra Silva, the Head of the National Operation Centre on Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) on Tuesday (Apr. 27).
Whilst emphasizing that COVID-19 patients reported at present are already in critical condition at the time of detection compared to the previous COVID-19 waves, the Army Commander urged the people to take precautions.
“When comparing the condition of COVID-19 infected cases detected at present to that of those from the previous waves of the outbreak, the medical condition at the point of detection is quite critical. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every citizen to avoid contracting the virus,” General Shavendra Silva stressed.
